RCS Network Adapter (RNA)
The VeriSat DVB-RCS Network Adapter (RNA) performs NCR insertion and also offers adaptation & conversion from Ethernet to DVB ASI. The MPEG TS packets received on a UDP socket is multiplexed with the internally generated NCR and transmitted in the DVB ASI output to the modulator. The RNA supports the DVB-S2 Mode Rate Adaptation protocol L.2. The RNA may also perform MPE encapsulation for IP traffic to one MAC address.
